CRN and Regulatory Expertise from a leader in the nuclear industry

Pressure retaining components must be registered in the province(s) of installation. Upon registration, a Canadian Registration Number (CRN) is issued. The registration is governed by Canadian Standards Association CSA B51 Standard, which provides guidelines for registration of various mechanical designs including but not limited to boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, steam traps, piping systems, and fittings. The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel (BPV) Code and various other design Codes (including MSS, API, ANSI, UL etc.) are referenced by this standard and outlines the rules for design. ANRIC assists manufacturing companies in obtaining CRNs for all components listed in CSA B51.

Design Registration

ANRIC will perform all the necessary activities including, but not limited to, assessing validity of quality control programs, reviewing drawings, performing ASME Code calculations, and verifying proof test reports. From outlining the initial steps to reviewing the documentation before submission, ANRIC Enterprises can provide any level of service for limited or national registrations.

CRN Registration – Boilers and Pressure Vessels

ANRIC will assist clients in registering all types of boilers and pressure vessels governed by CSA B51. The team of engineers at ANRIC is experienced with the registration of boilers and pressure vessels designed to the applicable sections of the ASME BPV Code.

As well a thorough understanding of the provincial regulations and requirements required to certify boiler and pressure vessel drawings with a professional engineering stamp for the purposes of registration.

Design Analysis – Inspection and Testing

ASME code and/or standard calculations are an essential part of a design submission. ANRIC Enterprises Inc. specializes in design calculations for all types of stresses, loads, welding strengths, reinforcements, wall thicknesses and pressure and temperature ratings.

ANRIC Enterprises Inc. has expert capability to perform design calculations required by the various sections of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) including vessels to ASME Section I, IV, VIII as well as piping to ASME B31.1 and B31.3.

ANRIC Enterprises’ engineering team has full capability to perform design analysis of nuclear components such as vessels, valves, pumps and piping to ASME Section III, including Appendix XXIII Specialized Professional Engineer qualifications for Owner’s certification of Design Specifications and Overpressure Protection Reports, or N Certificate Holder’s certification of Design Reports and Load Capacity Data Sheets.
